Hey! :) Im the new guy. aries sun, capy moon and cancer rising, for those who like to prejudge my personality :-) This post is mostly about me ranting about my view on the capy moon subject and generally just thinking out loud. If you see any misspellings - ignore them :-) Been a while since my norwegian butt was in school ;-) Now on to the rant. I've read many places that capy moon are supposed to be the worst placement out of all of them. But to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have it any other way if I could choose it. I love my moon. I think it offsets a greate deal of negative aries traits alot of my aries friends and other ariespeople without the capy moonplacement have. I think things through and analyze very fast to avoid pitfalls and bad situations that occur in relationships with friends, my girlfriend and joblife. Seems to be the norm between aries guys to be inconsiderate and say whats on their mind. This holds true with alot of aries boyfriends. Being inconsiderate to other peoples feelings and reacting with agression. Sorta like roidrage-light. Capricorn moon makes me alot less agressive and alot more diplomatic. Theres a difference in saying "have you gained weight? you should start exersizing" and saying while I'm brushing my teeth at night "I think I've gained some weight. What do you think?". Calculating, I know, but my girlfriend lost some weight without me ever being in the crossfire. And Im happy about it :-) Her confidence and mood went up and positive. So ultimately, calculating is good for both parts if used in a good way. Im cold? Nope, Im a very passionate and affectionate person. Emotionally, Im controlled, not cold. Also I think capricorn moon can distance themselves from their feelings when things get tough and work through the problem instead of sulking all day. Serious when its apropriate and humorus and optimistic when its apropriate. Economy? I have a steady income and no finantial problems. I could go on and on about why I like my capricorn moon so much. If I would have to complain about one thing it must be the relationship between my cancer rising and capricorn moon. People tell me private secrets and confessions and I really don't what to know since I just don't care. But Im not going to violate their trust, so i shut up and listen. Still though, thats my one knock against capricorn moon. Or cancer rising. Ohwell, the cancer gave me "kind eyes" so I guess I can live with a few secrets :P

Anyways, rant over. I whant to know about you guys. What is it about capricorn moon in your everyday life that you like and dislike? How do you think your moonsign affects you? Surely people are different even though they have the same moon sign.

Detriment applies to the placement of a planet in the opposite Sign from that of which it is said to be the Ruler; Moon Cancer.

to me we have the best of both worlds; we're not whinny cry babies or ebbing or flowing with every whim

Moon in Capricorn

(here’s the other end of the spectrum)

Moon in Capricorn Key word is Management. The chief characteristics are lack of sympathy, innate selfishness and self-preoccupation. The natives have an earthy practicality, giving dependence and a sense of responsibility towards those around them. These people could be loyal and unswerving when eventually give their heart to someone else, and would stick around when others have given up. They have dignity and tenacity and a realistic vision of the world as it really is, not as others expect it to be. Sun-in-Virgo-Moon-in-Capricorn is said to be the most practical of all Soli-Lunar combinations.

The natives display reverence and concentration of mind. The mind of the native is generally very keen, acute, active, far-seeing, and given to plotting and scheming. With a rapid mental response, they are all-comprehensive and somewhat antagonistic. The Moon here bestows something formidable, a hint of arrogance, air of dignity, a lust for power and recognition and a craving for financial power.

The Native does not encourage others taking liberties with, or seeking to approach him/her on too intimate terms. The Moon in Capricorn is said to be better for a man while women with this placement can turn off most men. The Moon in Capricorn favors positions of executive, administrative, public and organizational positions and commercial pursuits.

(yes, I can be reserved at times)

Anyway... for some reason the "earthiness" aspect of capricorn captured my imagination recently... my piscean intuition suddenly saw a picture of a beautiful southwestern desert scene at my emotional core... I imagined that that beautiful earthiness is the nature of my moon... tying in with the 'longevity' aspect of capricorn in its geological time scale... tying in with the goat-like horniness of capricorn out of awareness that sexuality is as vital an earth-energy as those forces shaping the earth, the moon, & the entire cosmos...

Aries Sun/Capricorn Moon
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign blend the attributes of the Ram (Aries) and the Goat (Capricorn), equipping you well for the task of battering and climbing. This position gives natural talents for managing and directing as the driving force of Aries is tempered with the persistence and deliberate judgment of Capricorn. You have an inner drive for success that is rarely equaled. There are also very definite ideas about where you are going and how you are going to get there; and you're not one to let anything stand in your way. In many ways you are an opportunist who knows how to judge people, spot problem people, and problem situations, before they get the upper hand. You may not get to your goals as quickly as many fellow Aries, since avoiding the pitfalls and waiting for the chance that is really what you want. This is a strength that other Aries may not possess. Nonetheless, your drive is always hard, and fast, compared to normal standards. Though you are full of energy and determination, and you seem to waste very little of these on nonproductive activities. You seem to know how to direct your efforts to get what you want. Being a very worldly person, fame and recognition are your top priorities or at least very near the top. You will give up a lot in a personal sense for success. You may make a good spouse, but marriage is not likely to be all important in your life, but rather an event. The career may be foolishly placed ahead of family. Your intellect is not unsound, but abstract knowledge or knowledge for its own sake, holds little appeal to you. Common sense seems much more valuable so far as you are concerned.

Taurus Sun/Capricorn Moon
The combination of your Sun and Moon signs produces a personality that is gentle and easygoing, unless some way provoked. When you are asked to do something against your will, the nature of both signs is to resist with a great stubbornness. Your makeup is very strong and durable emotionally. You can handle much stress and stain in your life and always emerge from a crisis in good shape. You are stable and decisive, and there is little that is frivolous or whimsical about you. You don't waste time daydreaming because you are just too practical. You may spend a good deal of time planning or putting things together, but you prefer to deal in tangible, matter-of-fact affairs that lend themselves well to your close scrutiny and critical analysis. You are a dependable person to whom others bring problems or projects and count on for help. You actually enjoy a sense of responsibility, perhaps even more than the recognition or power that usually accompanies authority. Security is of the utmost importance to you. You don't necessarily want wealth, but security of home, of position, and of a degree of prestige are all important. You are a proud person, with a strong sense of your own worth, which you like to see manifest in the material things in your world . . .your accomplishments or your surroundings. You have much executive talent because of your down-to-earth way of approaching problems and you keen understanding of human nature. You have an instinct for knowing what people are thinking and what they will be thinking in a little while.

Gemini/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a personality that is worldly-wise and shrewd. Under the genial front of smiles and good humor lies a core of steel, strength of purpose, and ambition. You operate with a healthy respect for tradition, law, and authority, able to become a law unto yourself, and to others. You can meet any challenge, especially one requiring a cool head and objective reasoning ability. You are affable, social and generous, but no one can impose on you; your business judgment is amazingly sharp. Your keen wit allows you to talk people into agreement with your position before they know what has happened. Your manner is poised, charming and disarming, enabling you to succeed in the business world where you can sell yourself or close a deal with casual ease. People relax and let down their guard around you. Outgoing and extroverted, you seem to inspire confidence and usually come out a winner. Your mind is so well constructed that analysis and critical ability come naturally. You are fair and utterly honorable, but you never fail to bargain shrewdly. Nervousness and restlessness are well controlled, and you are likely to be intensely ambitious. There is a cool detachment about you that keeps you from opening up to people in a true sense. You are highly sensitive and likewise conscious of other people's sensitive points. You're more analytical than creative or original. Your sense of diplomacy is active and leads you to a policy of rarely antagonizing others to achieve your ends.

Cancer/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun and Moon signs produces a good deal of ambition and determination in your personality. Yet this is well disguised in a mask of congeniality and understanding. The Cancer Sun is naturally understanding and affectionate, lessening the normal coldness of the Capricorn Moon. This lends good insight and a penetrating look at human nature. You are well equipped for a role in some type of public or official responsibility, and apt to gain recognition for your work in this regard. Prestige and status are likely to flow your way if you make any effort to achieve before the public. You have a reassuring way as you always seem willing to assume responsibilities, and work hard to reach goals. You expect things of value to require a good deal of effort. Unassuming and unpretentious, you are ever willing to tow your share of the load. You appreciate the value of a dollar, but you're not likely to spare cost when it comes to obtaining quality for your investment. A high degree of self-discipline allows you to save or even hoard money for that rainy day. You have a shrewdness that produces a genial and warm manner, but your purpose remains steely and determined. This nice blend of the personal and the sincere, with the calculating business core, allows you to accomplish much without hurting anyone's feelings. It permits you to muster and retain many friends along the way. You know how to drive a hard bargain with a smile on your face, and you have a keen sense for understanding people and instinctively sensing their motives.

Leo/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign makes you highly purposeful. You have a strong sense of what you expect out of life. This configuration confers a good deal of mental ability and quickness. There is a hard inner core that may keep you from being as sociable as many with the Leo Sun sign. You're not the type of person that anyone ever walks over. Your reputation, and the impression you make on others, is vitally important to you. You make every effort to make a good impression by your appearance and your demeanor. In this regard, you usually maintain a cheerful, good-natured exterior that rarely exposes this inner core of hardness and resolve. You are not exactly secretive, but subtle in disclosing your plans and objectives, and you really have no desire to be understood too well. You may become very depressed at times, but you'll never admit you have any doubt about yourself or your abilities. Your public face rarely breaks away from your upbeat mask. You have a great respect for yourself, and you expect others to respect you, as well. Success, in your view, depends heavily on building up a sound reputation for integrity and reliability. You want to be known as a person who can be trusted and relied upon. You are materially ambitious, and back this up with steady purpose and great will power.

Virgo/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a well-integrated personality with a fine mind, but one who is on the critical, rather than the creative side. The intelligence, analytical insight and discrimination of Virgo blends well with the realism, conservatism and deep ambition of Capricorn. You are your own source of strength, moral support, and ambition. There are few who can claim such self-sufficiency as can you. This is one of the most practical Sun/Moon combinations in the Zodiac, endowing you with splendid abilities, business shrewdness, a calculating and realistic mind, and the ability to place emphasis squarely on material values. Your healthy ambition wants wealth and power. Your ability to organize and systematize your knowledge of business facts assures success and sound enterprise. Your mind can exclude trivial issues and concentrate on the important matters. You are committed to personal integrity and people recognize this and trust you. A quiet determination and dedication to purpose describes your resolute demeanor as you uphold convention and follow routine. You are independent or you dislike the restraint or control of others. Public recognition or executive position means much to you, and you need a high objective on which to focus your energies for major accomplishments.

Libra/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a basic makeup that possesses a good deal of self-esteem. Recognition and admiration are very important to you, and you are willing to work hard to achieve your just rewards in this regard. The tendencies of these two signs are contradictory to one another as Libra is outgoing and unrestrained, while Capricorn, the great taskmaster, is restrictive and shows a good deal of seriousness. When the two are combined, there is a lesser tendency to direct oneself outwardly and a greater inclination toward self-discipline. For one born under the placid sign of Libra, you may seem hard, cold, and a bit like a machine; less than typical of the Libra social animal. Even when you reflect your natural genial nature, there is a core of strength lying beneath the surface, producing a very warm and reliable personality. You come across well, though not particularly extroverted. Capricorn seems to give Libra a high degree of drive, purpose, and a more reliable direction. Common sense and good judgment make you well suited for a serious approach to business and commerce. You know how to maneuver people, not in a malicious way, but nonetheless in a fashion allowing you to achieve your purposes. Accordingly, you make an excellent manager. Committed neither to materialism or humanitarianism, your drive is more likely directed to status and a shining reputation.

Scorpio/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign shows honor, integrity and authority as very important to you. You are not concerned with your popularity as long as you are true to your high principles and honesty with yourself. This combination blends the emotional force, determination, and will power of Scorpio, with the ambition, shrewdness, realism, and practicability of Capricorn. You have a prudent attitude of mind that features patience, perseverance, endurance and determination. Business strategy and the details of management organization come naturally to you. A natural sense of caution and reticence marks your professional personality, and you use tact and calculating shrewdness in handling other people and in achieving your long-range goals. Ambition is very strong in your nature, as is the urge for recognition and high office. Steadfast in your opinions, you are slow to change, and you uphold tested and established procedures. Control, management and organization are your strengths. Your reputation for sound, trustworthy handling of affairs is rarely equaled. You have considerable powers of self-control or deep inward firmness of nature. Yet, circumstances can alter your control and ability to mask your feelings, perhaps stimulating impulsive and aggressive action when you feel the need to force issues. You have a keen understanding of psychology, particularly in matters of group action, control, management and decision. You feel things deeply but manage to exercise personal control, and your feelings and emotions help serve personal interests and ambitions.

Sagittarius/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a vigorous thinker who is capable of rising to a high position through the strength and originality of mind and expression. We probably don't have to worry too much about your self-esteem; it is naturally strong and a key feature of your success. This is a very practical and executive combination. It blends the personal dash, optimism, enthusiasm, foresight, and directness of manner common with Sagittarius, and the ambition, shrewdness, realism and practicability of Capricorn. This is great for dealing in business affairs. Mental prudence or instinctive cautiousness enable you to keep expansive plans or ideas on a practical or realistic basis. Good foresight lets you chart the way things turn out and intuitively understand the future course of business. Viewed as practical, realistic and ambitious, you garner a good deal of responsibility. Personal integrity is a strong point in your nature and this help you build a flawless reputation. While the Capricorn Moon will never let you lose sight of your goals, the Sagittarius Sun want more than just power and is ever seeking happiness and personal satisfaction in the job well done. While its almost certain business will be the center of your attention, other interests will be important, as well. Cultural associations such as music and art can have decided appeal. You are highly executive, and definitely an executive with outstanding balance.

Capricorn/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a very serious individual indeed. Saturn, ruling Capricorn, is a restricting influence, a taskmaster, and an overseer. When both the Sun and Moon are positioned in this sign, the personality is a little on the heavy side. Although you are likely to have a heart of gold, your nature is somewhat rigid and unbending. You demand realism, truth and facts, rejecting anything that is superficial or frivolous. Ambition is powerful and self-control is almost a fetish. There is a good deal of character associated with this placement, although you can be single-minded in achieving your goals and ambitions. Reliability is the key, as you are ever dependable, and people can depend on you doing exactly what you say you are going to do. You are not one to settle for second best no matter how hard it seems to be first and best. You are not a humanitarian by nature, and it can almost be said that your drive for power and status make you self-centered and perhaps even a little selfish. There is a cold, hard, invulnerable streak in you that resists personal associations, even as you know how to appeal to others in a general sense.

Aquarius/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a positive and authoritative personality; a very solid and practical individual with individualistic qualities. The Aquarius side of this nature brings originality and independence, but this is tempered by the conservatism, deep ambition and caution of Capricorn. Your calm persistence, deep determination and talent for cold calculation or prudent thinking assure sound judgment and realistic evaluation of conditions or situations. You know your course in life and you are not one to be diverted by emotional factors. Restless at times, you need to keep busy in your profession, business or public life. You have a powerful sense of responsibility and deep seriousness to your nature. Business responsibilities may be heavy. You have great inner sources that enhance your personality. This is a combination that shows the talent to cope with large enterprises and for handling large numbers of people. You have strong, deeply rooted convictions and ideals, and you conduct your business with a strict code of ethics. You are a natural executive with humanitarian leanings, as you combine friendliness and fair play with your strict business principles. You strive more for power and authority than for wealth and material success.

Pisces/Capricorn
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a pleasant, sweet-tempered outlook most of the time. There is a blending of emotional sensitivity and intuitive perception of Pisces, with the conservatism, deep ambition and prudence of Capricorn. The Pisces personality is naturally shy and sensitive; Capricorn is a natural introvert. Yet when combined, Capricorn tends to provide a degree of confidence, drive, and strength of purpose, without being overly materialistic and shallow. Though you have your feet planted solidly on the ground, your sensitivity and capacity for sympathy enable you to avoid materialism. You want to get somewhere in life, but without appearing pushy or too determined. Subtlety is your style and method. Success comes from combining your inner intuitive perceptiveness with outward practicality, responsibility and integrity. You are practical, realistic, objective and persevering. Organization is specialty, perhaps even your fetish. There is a serious note in your nature making you keenly aware of duties and responsibilities. Financial affairs may play an important role in your life and progress can depend on sound handling of financial affairs and avoiding the insecurities of indebtedness. The personal qualities of prudence and caution increase self-restraint and encourage control of the restless and emotional tendencies of your nature. Your desires for prominence, social and business distinction proves a powerful incentive in your field of activity. You can achieve these goals after you have clearly visualized what you desire to achieve, as your success depends on concentrated effort. A good manager, you can easily see the big picture and prefer dealing with the whole rather the detail of the parts. You have a tendency to underrate yourself and worry much too much.

How this plays out within me is never a clear distinction since Capricorn negates(IMO) most of these fine attunements. Perhaps that is why I'm asking you guys here, where does it makes itself apparent in your daily lives?

For me, I find that my stronghold can easily crumble because Neptune dissolves so much of what I'm emotionally trying to control. At least this is my personal feeling.

I'm not too versed in astrology, but I've always read my sun sign and it doesn't seem like me; I do believe in horoscopes to some extent, but the general information about Gemini never really described me - as in, not even a little. I'm not talkative, I don't do small talk to people I don't know, I'm somewhat shy, reserved, nervous (or aware) of letting others see my TRUE emotions - even family members. I can be locked away, by myself, and NOT go insane, and I don't crave human contact, but yet; when I want to be I can be somewhat charming I guess, get along almost anyone, laugh, have a good time, etc, etc. I have spells where I feel very weak inside (emotionally), yet other times, I feel as strong as a rock emotionally. I don't tell others (besides being anonymous on the internet, HA HA) what I'm feeling - never have. I'm definitely not gossipy like a Gemini, or what I've read. I can be seen by people who first meet me as either stuck up, or cold (I am aware of this).....Like I said, I have good awareness. Sometimes I can be extremely intuitive, other times, I feel 'empty' and/or have no emotion towards anything or anyone - or it's 'blocked' I supposed. Very difficult to explain. I do have extremist views politically - yet again - SOMETIMES, LOL. Not always.

Okay, anyways, I'm definitely on more of the serious side when it comes to relationships, and life in general. Anymore Gemini sun Capricorn moons/Virgo rising in here? You are especially uncomfortable with emotional dependency, and will tell yourself and others (even children) not to be a "baby". :D

I've had nothing but problems with them my whole life: black tooth as a child, buck teeth, then braces, cavities, then later TMJ and on and on....now dealing with gum issues. Just had all my mercury removed. I vote for a third set of teeth around the age of 30. I *can* say that I now know just about as much as any dentist now and am hyper vigilant about taking care of them from now on.
I'd HIGHLY recommend this site:
http://mizar5.com/omedia2.htm
all about dental self sufficiency and developing a routine for better oral health.
I think especially cap moons (as opposed to cap suns) are affected in teeth and bones as the moon is tied in with emotions and our emotional stress or dis-ease manifests there.

Like I've said in an early post that I've been in resistance to my moon in capricorn, I've now read that own moon can represent our relationship to our mothers. And the qualities of the moon often reflect the lense through wich we see our mothers (wheather they are this way or not).

I see my mother as hardworking and obstinant. she has extreme focus and dedication. she doesn't know how to take time for herself or openly recieve or give love. She is also deeply mystical and spiritual. She is tapped into the great cosmic mother, she is Demetre personified.

By lookin at how I see her, both her mundain and cosmic qualities, I am offered a glimpse of my gifts and curses, knowing that is only a fraction of my being, but deeply rooted. Like Diana, the huntress the moon goddess, I realise that I have the ability to choose where I aim my arrows in life and if I am going to shoot.

Full Moon Reflections:
The Gifts of Our Fathers
by April Elliott Kent

One beautiful afternoon last week, I suddenly found that I couldn't bear being inside for another moment. I grabbed a hat and headed out to the back yard. It's a mess out there; we've been renovating our old garage for months (we joke that the only thing keeping it together is the termites holding hands) and half of its contents - along with thistles and weeds - have overtaken our back yard. An orderly person, I was beginning to feel desperate and panicky every time I walked out the back door. So while I was outside I decided to tackle the mess. I started pulling weeds, and within an hour I'd filled three trash cans and was sweating, tired, and completely happy.

Whenever I spend time up to my knuckles in dirt it's as though part of me has come home. I'm the daughter of a Capricorn farmer who was blissfully happy spending hot, humid summer afternoons in absolute solitude, meditatively traversing his acres aboard a tractor. But even in the early 1960s small farms were struggling, so he also drove our school bus - "to support his farming habit," my mom liked to say. He did whatever he had to do to make a go of his farming while supporting his family, working long hours and odd jobs. He even tried to make farmers of my reluctant brothers, who made it clear they had other plans for their futures.

I know many astrologers, artists, writers, and metaphysical practitioners, myself included, can relate to this idea of supporting our vocational "habits" with other sources of income. We devote long hours and much love to our work, usually for little money compared to what we might earn in a regular job. Many years after becoming a professional astrologer, much of my earnings still come from side enterprises such as my web design business. If someone asks me what I do for a living, though, I always answer that I'm an astrologer - because regardless of how much I earn from that work, that's how I think of myself.

I suppose this stubborn determination to support my astrology habit is a legacy from my father. In his quiet way, Dad demonstrated that dedication to the work you love - and not how you earn your money - is what defines your vocation and makes you a success. Reading a recent installment of Cary Tennis' advice column at Salon.com reminded me of this. A reader wrote in to complain that after many years of struggling to make a living as a musician, his art still didn't support him financially. Cary reminded him that earning money from other sources wouldn't make him any less a musician. "Maybe," Tennis wrote, "it's time for you to support your art for awhile." And as my dad demonstrated, that's true - sometimes, we have to be good fathers to our work and support our vocations, rather than the other way around.

This month's Full Moon chart features Venus, goddess of money and relationships, almost exactly opposed idealistic Neptune and nearing a conjunction with Saturn. If you've been struggling financially, or feeling like a failure because the work you love doesn't pay enough, it may be time to let go of illusions and take a more realistic view of money's role in your vocational happiness. Take a closer look, too, at your relationships. The dark side of Capricorn's tenacity is a certain ruthless singlemindedness, and our bonds with others often suffer when we give too much to our work, sacrificing the soft, Cancerian shapes of domestic pleasure. With Venus opposed Neptune and conjunct Saturn, we have the opportunity to recognize which of our relationships were built on shifting, sandy soil and to embrace those that were founded on enduring bedrock.

When the Sun is moving through tender Cancer, we grow nostalgic for childhood summers, ice cream trucks, and the safety of our mother's protective embrace. But it's all too easy to stay nestled in her arms for too long instead of venturing out of your shell and tackling the world. At some point, Cancer's baby must leave the tidepool and learn to fend for herself. Teaching us how to take care of ourselves was dad's job, and the Capricorn Full Moon reveals how well those lessons were learned. Dad may have been loving, cruel, or absent; successful or a failure. But his example undoubtedly informed your values and visions about your place in the world.

Perhaps like my back yard, your vocational garden has been overrun with a chaotic tangle of weeds, or maybe you've been tending the wrong garden altogether. At this Capricorn Full Moon, it's time to nurture your ambitions just as you nurture your pets, plants, and loved ones. Let us be thankful for the gifts of our Capricornian fathers and honor them by claiming our true vocations and defining our personal visions of success. Let us be frugal stewards of the earth's bounty and steady friends and lovers upon whom others can rely. And let us tend our gardens well - pulling weeds, clearing away what isn't needed, and being willing to get our hands dirty.
People usually love me, or just don't understand where I'm coming from at all. It's like I grew up on another planet sometimes. It's somewhat funny. I'm not exactly a work-a-holic like the rest of you Cappy's either. I enjoy working when it's something I like. Otherwise I'll figure out any excuse to get out of it. But I do hate disappointing employers more than anything in the world. And I despise lazy people too.
this is what i have copied and pasted and put all together from my own knowlegde and sites ive browsed..& put it as one..Felt like sharing it so i hope this isnt spamming or anything..

Keywords ; Emotional stability, hard work , persistence, analytical, studious, conservative, traditional, Reserved, Grasping, Stable, Self-conscious, Structured, Unsympathetic, loyal, pragmatic, stubborn, depressive, moody, possessive, controlled, disciplined, reliable.

Capricorn is the mountain citadel of the cosmic court. It symbolizes the rock-solid foundation of prosperity – stability, austerity, reliability and permanence. Capricorn Moons see things strategically and objectively. They tend to be quite structured in their approach to life and are usually comfortable solving problems in a methodical, even plodding, way that often guarantees them the right results and often stick with their way of doing things. A Capricorn Moon is determined, steadfast and reliable. This sign more than any other, shows the effects of very strong and perhaps rigid parental influence. When you grow up you would like to have a very important position in the world and you will work hard to get it. Your nature is stubbornly persistent, serious in tone, and stable. You are a very hard worker who will persist almost forever to reach a goal.
Out of all the zodiacs this is one of the least desirable moon signs. In most ways you have a serious, reserved nature (especially in communicating, and the way you interact with people.) and generally like to think of yourself as ‘detached’, cool, and unaffected and sagacious. People around you may view you as a little cold, rigid and unfeeling. This appearance will persist because it is so hard for you to relax and let go. Even when their external ego is more outgoing or demonstrative, the Capricorn Moon will maintain their reserve, hiding sensitive feelings behind walls of their emotional stronghold. However, the marvelously offbeat Capricorn sense of humor surfaces very spontaneously, and does much to soften their unfortunate impression. The reason Capricorn Moons are rugged is that life has often taught them hard lessons early in life, urging them to adapt a ‘can do’ approach. Experience tells them that there are no easy answers in life, and that to make it, they must work hard and keep their nose in the grindstone. There is no backing down for them: rather they muster whatever it takes to meet and outdo their adversaries. ‘I persevere’ is the motto that helps them realize their hopes and dreams.
As serious as they are in person, they are just the same with their emotions. Expressing your emotions is a difficult task, and people around you may view you as a little cold, rigid and unfeeling. They tend to try and analyze their feelings – a difficult task, as emotions tend to be self-validating and beyond the rules of intellect. Nevertheless, the effort is made because the Capricorn Moon likes to know where they stand and likes the certainty of being able to control matters. This is their sensible side – wanting to be practical with feelings – which can now and then make them appear manipulative or controlling with age, though, and eventually learn to read softly in these areas and to be a little more laid back. Capricorn Moons are sensitive and have the same emotional intensity as anyone else. While they don’t often express it, they can be moved to emotional extremes that, once underway, are sometimes difficult to subdue. They can be emotionally stable and down-to-earth when things are going okay, but when they aren't, they can be down right depressing. They may not show it but there is no denial to the fact that they are very negative, dispirited, gloomy people every now and then. They can be unforgiving and if you do wrong to a lunar Capricorn you may be cut off from their life forever. More than anyone else, they are hardest on themselves and take themselves very seriously.
They are not usually given to feeling sorry for themselves, at least not in a self-indulgent way where they become too self-absorbed and inactive although they can, become quite moody, somber and deep, like their zodiac opposite of Cancer, to dwell and reflect on important, private matters. This introspection also serves to help them plan their actions. When you see them like this, it’s best to let them retreat to their mountain cave and in time they will come out ready for action.
In relationships with others, you are loyal, devoted and highly dependable--but demonstrative you are not. You show you care by being available, by coming home on time, by providing for financial needs--rarely do you express deep emotions or seem to show your love in the more conventional ways although this practicality of their nature makes them realistic and strong in their feelings. What a Capricorn Moon needs from a relationship is a good dose of optimism, frivolity, and reassurance. This will help them loosen up and give them a more, well rounded and satisfying emotional life. They need a partner who is balanced and gives as much as they take. They bring a mood to ‘make it work’ in a relationship, and once they commit they are very reliable partners. They can appear quite strong and confident, but also need as much nurturing as the next person. In intimate relationships when genuine feelings are hard to hide a lunar Capricorn will take time, and this will likely happen in gradual steps, allowing themselves this kind of openness in relationships will create trust and understanding, which they need and deserve. In a partner they like to see the vulnerable side and it is most advisable to be with a person who can hold a long relationship so that later on it will be easy for them to express their real emotions.
So if it’s reliable, stable partner you are looking for, then Capricorn Moons are as good as they come. They have strong characters, and their friends and lovers usually come to rely on and admire them for this. They tend to lean toward the hard-working, trust-worthy and predictable end of the social spectrum and therefore make good parents, loyal friends and sound business partners. They are stubborn in what they do and working out a problem with the stubborn side of the Capricorn Moon can be daunting, especially if you hope to get them to entirely change their point of view. It makes them feel good to do something worthwhile and like to hold responsibility. Although at times they can take their responsibilities too seriously. Their most admirable trait is the fact that they can deal with the real world and take life as it comes, for this they fit well in politics and business.
One Lesson: To Not to be so hard on themselves and to remember that their needs for comfort, security and love are real needs, and they will not be really happy if they always deny them.

Maybe a little late, but interesting none the less.....

This new moon takes place in Capricorn (the sign of the goat.) Capricorn is one of the cardinal signs of the zodiac—lending itself to be enterprising, taking the lead, achievement of leadership abilities and ultimate success. One could say they are the true prime movers, and hard workers of the universe—as they work with patience, resilient persistence to dutifully fulfill the tasks and obligations they have assumed and bring them to their final conclusion and completion. All of these are excellent traits and people with Capricorn or Saturn prominent in their charts can also exhibit these powerful attributes. Faithfulness, discipline, resolution and a clear sense of duty leads many of this sign into leadership roles and successful life.

Capricorn in the 29th degree of the zodiac denotes being in the public eye, gains public attention, rises before the public in some way. Those with this degree were Lincoln, Napoleon, Eliot, and Capone—all from different walks of life, but nonetheless came to be known to the masses and acquiring fame in their own ways, both positive and negative.

As we begin this new moon, only the Sun and Venus are transiting Capricorn. Later this month on the 27th, Mercury also enters Cap.

We may begin to notice thoughts are changing and a subtle shift in focus. Matters that have to do with planning, financial concerns, practical matters, issues that attract form and structure into our base of operations may start to take a seat in the front row of our minds.

Ok—so why not use some of the positive CAP traits? You may want to consider your year ahead, what would you like to see changed or what would you like to accomplish and ultimately achieve in your life direction and overall betterment in the new year of 2007.

What new responsibilities, obligations, or decisions are you willing to take on? How about your willingness to perform—are you prepared for the dedication and steadfastness it will require? Important - What are the necessary steps to reach your new vision, to achieve your goals and aspirations. Areas of interest may deal with more schooling, improving finances, career betterment, community associations, home and family dealings—all matters that deal with our real life's base of operations, foundations and security.

So there’s some things to ponder as we go into the new year. Perhaps some of these concerns will be coming more pronounced in your aura and lighting your pathway for a wonderful new year in 2007
Although Capricorn is an Earth sign, the Sea-Goat embodies both the water and the Earth elements. Its fish tail allows it to take in the spiritual energy contained in the crystallized minerals in the Earth as it borrows its way to the deep subterranean sea.

It is this profound connection with its emotional roots that gives the Sea-Goat the stability and patience necessary for its climb up the mountain of life. It is the acknowledgment of its emotions as the expression of its Soul that leads it to discover its destiny
path.

It is the depth of integration with the Earth, its mother, that
nurtures its sense of security. It is the experience of Oneness with the Earth that anchors in its courage to make the climb to the summit of personal integrity and to offer its unique contribution to the world.

Capricorn is one of the three Earth signs (Virgo and Taurus are the others.) When one truly experiences the Earth element, one can be totally still.

The best time of the year to tune into the peaceful stillness of the Earth is when the Sun is in Capricorn. The days around Winter Solstice are optimal days to silently meditate and allow this experience to enter your consciousness.

The mountainous terrain of Capricorn can be
experienced as either a laborious trial or a destiny
path. Capricorn is the last to believe in or advocate
a free lunch. The practical mountain goat knows that
life doesn’t work like the lottery.

Capricorn is willing and able to do the work. With patience the
goat slowly and methodically climbs to up the mountain
of life, one sure step at a time. The goat’s life
long trek can be experienced in isolation, fraught
with adversity. Or it can be experienced as a quest
for self-empowerment, where each challenge met brings
a deep sense of satisfaction.

The practical goat teaches us that if we are realistic
about, and respectful of, our inner and outer
resources, we do not have to feel a sense of
desperation or lack. Inner anguish is not created by
life’s challenges, but by abdicating our inner
authority and misusing our power. We must learn to
accept what is our responsibility and not take on the
burden of that which is not.

Saturn, Capricorn’s teacher, reminds us that our intention is to
consolidate, not to control or to compete. Our
strategy is to manage, not to manipulate. We lose
energy and authority with a negative approach. With a
willingness to grow, we gain power, authority and are
able to manifest our dreams.

INNER LEADERSHIP

Capricorn is the archetype of leadership. Capricorn
is the tenth sign of the zodiac and sits at the top of
our birth chart. If we have integrated the lessons of
the first nine signs, we are ready to step out into
the world in a leadership role.

But there is a personal prerequisite for our worldly destiny path.
We must first take a leadership role in our personal
life. We must learn to take responsibility for our
thoughts, words and actions. We must be willing and
able to be accountable for what we create.

Inner leadership means that we take responsibility for

(1) defining our own boundaries

(2) setting our own standards

(3) knowing our purpose and honoring it

(4) defining our needs and making sure they are met

(5) validating and supporting ourselves

(6) giving approval to ourselves instead of looking
for it outside ourselves.

We recognize our own limitations and figure out how to
live gracefully within them. We also acknowledge our
gifts and develop them with discipline, patience and
gratitude.

As we proceed in our process, it is essential to keep
in mind that if we ignore or question our inner voice,
we are listening to, influenced by or controlled by
some authority other than our Soul.

Personally, I never felt very close to her, even though she would contend we have a very good relationship. It's not to say I'm suggesting otherwise... just moreso that we do not share that mother/daughter bond to any considerable degree. She is very Cancer/Piscean and is emotionally cut-off from others... She's learned to get along by reclusing completely. Thus, (not victimising myself here!) I have felt alienated from her in a way.

I did not see her much throughout my childhood so this also contributes to this.

As a Cap. moon I feel I have an emotional need to work. I am much in tune with structure and use of mental tools to control emotions -of course, this is always an attempt. Most often I feel I have it under control and discover this is far from truth - when the levee breaks. Talk about walls... I have actually been told, "You don't love me!" more than once by a partner. It's so difficult to explain to those who do not understand what it is to feel as if a well contains all that is emotional, painful, and love expression. It seems they are all really inter-connected.

Most often choose not to converse about my real feelings.. I rather show in tangible ways or attempt with analogies. As if words can express... but hey! I use poetry to express and sort my thoughts and feelings (yet I do not share it - maybe someday if I meet the right person).

Anyone care to share thoughts?

It is in my 11th House, and as you can see by my tribe list, I have no friends because of it *LOL*, just kidding, but yes, what it has created for me in this incarnation is the dearest friendship connections a soul could ask for. Whilst it is indeed a tough placement, in regards to personal experiences in social/group spheres, without, I would not appreciate the inner depths of a solid connections. Regarding the hopes and dreams elements of the 11th house, it is also that double edged sword of working so hard, even if the dream has died just that touch too much, but other than that, the loyalty and dedication of this Moon of mine, is inspiring. I was quite excited to find this tribe, as I enjoy my Moon, even though it completes a T-Square with my Mercury Cancer, Libra Mars and add that to a Cancer Sun, you have a lot of emotional dedication!
In any case - I was hoping some of you might be willing to share your opinions on this matter, specifically, if you had to sum it up in a paragraph - how has your capricorn moon manifested in your life and has it caused a great deal of emotional difficulty for you?

For me, I will say that I have a phenominal difficulty in relating to just about everyone I meet on every possible level. I'm not particularly anti-social, and I get along with people well - but I rarely feel a real connection to anyone. That being said - this is probably not only a result of my Capricorn Moon but also my Scorpio stellium and my stellium in the 12th.

Thought I'd share with all you lovely Capricorn Moon people what Chaz posted on Astrology/Numerology.....

Hello all,

have a wonderful holiday no matter which one you celebrate, imo it's always about the winter solstice (Capricorn) ;)

i was born with the moon in Capricorn (within a GrandCross) in the third house this is one of the reasons i need to exchange information ;)

New Moon in Capricorn
Friday, December 30, 2005
7:12pm PST
9º 32'

Since much of the time Capricorn gets a bad rap in astrology, let's begin by celebrating Capricorn's wonderful qualities. Got goals? Got focus? Got Capricorn. Got drive? Got stamina? Got accomplishment? Got Capricorn. Okay we all know about these qualities, but here's a list you might not automatically come up with. Got loyalty, courage, commitment, a huge heart, deep caring for others, a desire to teach, uplift and inspire? Now you've got the totality of Capricorn.

This is the most powerful New Moon for setting goals, initiating projects, and making a serious commitment to achieve. (Oh and lucky us, this year, the New Moon in Capricorn comes just in time for those New Year's resolutions!) For those of you who have trouble with follow-through, this is the New Moon to gain focus and work on building real stamina. Believe me, with concerted focus and effort, you might find you are a whole lot stronger and more responsible than you think!

In this vein, let's indulge a Saturnian/Capricornian reality check. Gaia has been a harsh parent as of late. Those of us, who do not live in the tsunami-affected areas of Asia, hurricane-destroyed parts of Louisiana and Mississippi, the devastated earthquake regions of Pakistan and Kashmir, or war ravaged Iraq, are alive. We have not lost our entire village, our whole family, and everything we have worked for our whole life has not been enveloped in mud, swept out to sea, buried under rubble or bombed to shreds. Most of you reading this have shelter, food, family, and a world of opportunity waiting outside your doorstep. So get a grip, stop complaining, and recognize how fortunate we are to be alive, intact, and capable of contributing fully to our world.

Ever wonder why Capricorn's animal symbol is the mountain goat? I once saw a group of mountain goats on a climb in the Everest region of Nepal. The way up was steep, but the summit promised a wonderful view of Tibet. I watched a group of goats (already high above me) calmly and fearlessly walk an almost vertical hillside that I was doing my best to avoid. They seemed to function from a belief that no path is too steep, no height too lofty to attain, there is nothing to fear. That was their bottom line.

Capricorn's incredible ability to achieve comes from hanging in for long haul and not giving up, even if the going gets tough… and neither should you! Again, think about the incredible effort it will take (both psychologically and financially) to rebuild the lives of the millions of people who have been impacted by the recent natural disasters. This Herculean effort over a long period of time has Capricorn written all over it.

Most astrologers associate Saturn, Capricorn's ruler, with fear. Tsunamis, floods, storms and earthquakes remind us how incomprehensible is the intense fear that must accompany destruction which instantly takes so many lives. I contemplate the things I fear in my life and wonder at their power, which seems so insignificant in the face of so much destruction.

In right measure, fear can actually be a great motivator. Capricorn is the sign which best epitomizes the ability to recognize fear for what it is, move through it, and attain success because of it, not in spite of it. Use this New Moon ritual to acknowledge your fears, and then do some work on reframing your relationship to fear. Make fear a helpmate. Think of it as a big adrenaline rush or just a big push to get you moving on the road to success. In many ways, with respect to earthly experience, Capricorn is the most evolved of the twelve signs. Where Aquarius and Pisces prefer idealistic realms and transcendence, Capricorn insists on nothing less than the "full body" experience of life. No excuses: JUST DO IT!

Here is another secret of Capricorn achievement: work with what you got and don't get lost in dreams of what you wish you had. I know many of you in Silicon Valley (and probably lots of other places) who still have your jobs are probably doing the work of three, and struggling to get it done with a fewer resources. This would be a great day to gather your staff for a working lunch focused on growth through new ideas.

With Sun/Moon sextile Jupiter (inspiration) and Uranus (radical thinking), Mercury (communicating) conjoining Pluto (transformation through truth-telling) in Sagittarius (generosity) and Venus (creativity) cojoining Chiron (healing) in Aquarius (inventiveness, originality, visioning, revolution) you could make this lunch more than a pep rally; get real and talk openly about the team's goals, new ideas, and how to help make each person in the group successful. Write down what actions you must take, in what order, to make the team's goals a reality. Then commit to following these steps no matter how long it takes, no matter how hard it may be. Patience, fortitude, and commitment, these are the winning strategies of Capricorn.

If you are among the many who are still unemployed in this country, you too can benefit from creating a New Moon ritual to get back to work. Capricorn defines itself by the work it does, and the truth is we all feel better when we are self-sufficient. Capricorn is a realist and that is the key to making this kind of ritual really work. With Sun and Moon inconjunct Saturn in Leo, reality is the ticket to success on this New Moon. Don't ask for that dream job you'll never get. Focus your ritual on obtaining work you can get now, that will be the right next step to making that dream job a reality in your future.

It is true that Capricorn can be risk-averse, due to its Saturnian attachment to security and traditional methods. But on this New Moon, Venus (creativity) conjoining Chiron (healing old wounds) in Aquarius (inventiveness, originality) could be enough to loosen our intense attachment to seeking security. Our culture has a funny relationship with creativity and success. Many of us are told that we can't make a living doing what we love.

The truth is we can, if we are willing to make the sacrifices that are necessary to follow a path that is less chosen. Success in creative or spiritual endeavors is achieved by those who believe in themselves and work hard at what they love every day. Though our media makes it seem like there are many overnight success stories, when you look deeper into these lives, there is always a long-held dream and a lot of hard work. So let go of the need for instant gratification and overnight success. There is no free lunch and no easy way out. Capricorn is the sign that understands all too well that real success happens though sustained effort.

The Capricorn Moon/Sun conjunction trine Mars (action) in Taurus (survival needs) is good if you have trouble with over-spending and staying on a budget, this is the New Moon to work hard on changing that pattern of behavior. Capricorn spends conservatively, judiciously and preferably not at all; which is impossible since we all need a roof over our head and food.

So what kind of meditation would be good for this? A meditation of mindful awareness. Sit down and think carefully about what happens to your brain when you shop. Do you zone out when you pay for things? If you do, this is the New Moon to commit yourself to total awareness while shopping and buying. Ask yourself do I really need this? What other ways could I use this money I am about to spend? Can I put this money away for my future instead of spending it now? You can easily become wealthier by spending mindfully. Think of it as the Zen of buying or not buying!

Finally, I would ask each of you to contemplate how heartbreaking it is to see those who have so little

Think of this as a reminder that we must love and care for each other, not just in times of crisis, but for all time. Our greed, violence and alienation have become a way of life, but in reality it is a sure path to death.

We must wake up, or the remaining years of Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius will continue to bring destruction through water and disease, rather than enlightenment through realization of transcendental consciousness. This is the New Moon to commit yourself to becoming responsible for your own enlightenment and the enlightenment of all other sentient beings on this planet. Only Capricorn has the stamina to maintain this kind of commitment.

So don't waste this very productive New Moon. Here's to your success!

I look forward to indepth discussions regarding that fascinating feature, the Capricorn moon. I really like what someone said about sincerity. We Cap moons don't get enough credit for being if not emotionally warm, at least emotionally genuine. Like Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye (written by Cap moon JD Salinger) we just can't stand phonies, or phony emotional outpourings. Maybe we have too much respect for emotions to treat them with anything but honesty.

There can also be a tendency to aloofness, which gives the impression that these people want, for reasons of their own, to distance themselves from other (sometimes, in their eyes, lesser) mortals. However, the marvelously offbeat Capricorn sense of humor surfaces very spontaneously, and does much to soften this unfortunate impression.

The urge to fulfill aspirations and ambitions is considerable; and if this need is supported by intellectual flair (shown in other areas of the chart), there will be considerable ability to achieve those aims, with success being the eventual reward.

Expressing your emotions is difficult for you, and others may view you as cold, rigid or unfeeling. It's also hard for you to relax and let go. All work and no play, you can seem terribly serious and even depressing at times. You fear you will be rejected if you show someone how you really feel about him / her, and thus are cautious and defensive, keeping your emotions carefully under wraps. Underlying your practical, 'in-control- persona is an insecure, sensitive and very shy side.

In relationships with others, you are loyal, devoted and dependable. However, you aren't very demonstrative. If you tell your partner you love him / her on your wedding day, you don't feel you need to say it again until your Golden Wedding Anniversary. You show your caring for someone else by doing practical, physical things for him / her, by coming home dutifully every night, or by providing financial support.

Hard-working, practical and conscious of your responsibilities to others, you build carefully for the future and make certain that whatever you build - a house, a relationship, a business or a country - has a solid foundation.

However, you often do things for others out of a sense of duty rather than because it's what you truly want to do, and this can leave you feeling put upon or resentful. For example, if your marriage is not working out you may 'stick it out' anyway because you feel you've made a commitment or because you have responsibilities to the children. You don't expect life to be easy or happy, and accept hardship as a necessary evil.

Unwilling to make many change in your life once you've settled into a routine, you are more likely than most people to endure an unsatisfactory job, home life or relationship long after you should have ended it. And, because you are both secretive and self-reliant, you aren't the type to seek outside help from a therapist or marriage counselor.

At an early age, you found it necessary to become independent and take care of yourself. Mature beyond your years, as a child you seemed to be a miniature adult. Probably you couldn't wait to grow up, and may have assumed adult responsibilities when you were still quite young.

Perhaps your family was poor and you had to go to work to help put food on the table. or, if you were the oldest in a large family, you become a substitute parent to your younger siblings. Possibly your mother (or the nurturing parent) died when you were still a child or was absent for some reason, and you took on her role and duties.

In some way, your early home life was hard or barren. Even if your physical environment wasn't bleak, your emotional one certainly was. It is quite likely that your mother (or the nurturing parent) was unavailable to you when you needed her.

Either she was physically absent because she was working, dead, or ill, or because your parents were separated; or she was simply an unexpressive, restrained, serious person. You may describe your mother as severe, unloving, distant or very strict. But she also was dependable, conscious of her responsibilities to you, hard-working and efficient at managing the household.

Perhaps she was the family breadwinner and also the disciplinarian. if she was a professional person, you might be proud of her career successes even if you feel you suffered emotional deprivation as a result.

With your own children, you are likely to be strict and demanding. You want them to grow up to be self-sufficient, responsible adults, and don't believe that being lenient would be doing them any favors. Though you may love them deeply, it's hard fo you to show your feelings for them, to be affectionate, tender, playful or even openly encouraging. You might long to be more expressive and emotional, but are rather cut off from your feeling side and don't know where to begin.

Security and stability are very important to you. You might try to achieve this by making lots of money, establishing yourself as a pillar of your community, or marrying someone who will take care of you. Your physical home also is a symbol of security; but even if it is expensive, prestigious or historically significant, it probably isn't very comfortable or inviting.

Your tastes tend toward the traditional, and you might choose to live in an older house or furnish it with antique pieces. It's also possible that due to Capricorn's conservative, practical nature, you may live in relative austerity, eschewing all 'luxuries' and making do with only the bare essentials.

Both men and women with this Moon placement hold rather conventional, traditionally-oriented attitudes about male / female roles and are inclined to glorify the past. Men often seek partners who will stay at home and manage their domestic / family lives. Women may marry men who have sound portfolios, stable jobs and good reputations, and who will take care of them physically and financially - even though these women are more than capable of taking care of themselves!

with our Cap moon how does this play out in our grown up life.
Today I see myself always trying to make others feel good by solving their problems Or listening… Perhaps this is my own reflection of me and her and our relationship (she too has a Cap moon) that I can withstand the emotional tides…it’s just that it’s hard for me to share my vulnerability I guess I’m just so used to being the strong one (is that true for others here?)
Not depressing anything as been the key for me, and also speaking my mind even if that means getting upset (mercury in Aries) I might get a head ache but, at least I’ll get rid of it ;)

It is a physical fact that the Moon has no light of its own. It merely reflects the light of the Sun, and the Full Moon in Capricorn fully illustrates the spiritual meaning of this physical fact. When the Moon is Full in Capricorn, the Sun is in Cancer, the sign that rules emotional connectedness, nurturance, compassion, and personal expressions of love.

Because the Moon rules Cancer, when the Moon is posited in Capricorn (the sign opposite its natural zodiacal energy) this makes for a special energetic symbiosis between the Sun and Moon.

Only at this time of year, can the Moon fully infuse the restrictive, withholding, structured, serious energy of Capricorn with its natural energetic Cancerian nature of open, flowing love. This is especially true with Mercury, Venus, and Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) in Cancer. Taking responsibility for one's emotional condition should be put at the top of everyone's "to do" list.
Listen up men! Saturn/Capricorn symbolizes the responsible, hardened male, and Saturn also rules depression.

Though most people would agree that patriarchy has been detrimental for women, many don't consider how wounding it has been for men. Think of all the men you know who find it hard to talk about their feelings; particularly feelings of loss, vulnerability, sadness, and confusion. Violence, irritability, isolation and anger are often used by men to cover up emotions and feelings that require vulnerability.

Interestingly, along with substance abuse, violence, irritability, isolation and anger are often symptoms of male depression. Our society requires that men always have it together, or at least give off the appearance of being fine. Few men admit to depression and even fewer go get therapeutic help.

If the last three years of Saturn in Cancer have taught us anything, it is the prevalence of depression in America and the reluctance of many men to seek help. So guys, admitting you have depressive feelings is the first step, and right after that comes sharing it with a spouse or friend or adult child. Believe me they already know it and will be more than happy to support you and your journey to wellness.

This is the Full Moon to reach out and get help. Find a therapist and a men's group in your area. Take responsibility for your own healing.

This Full Moon in Capricorn calls upon each of us to find the appropriate structures to express love and connectedness in our lives. This is especially true when love is not our first response, or is drowned out by pain, fear and hatred (the domain of Capricorn/Saturn). This is the Full Moon of tough love, facing the reality of love lost or denied.

Don't underestimate the depth of understanding that a Capricorn Moon brings to the table, especially when it sits opposite Mercury, Venus, and Saturn in Cancer. Where Cancer feels almost childlike in its attachment to direct experience of emotive love, Capricorn knows that sacrifice and personal responsibility are the building blocks of true love, and realizes this goal with a special grace and maturity.

This Full Moon is particularly suited for healing old emotional wounds. Frankly, with Mars (action) in Aries (infantile and selfish) opposing Jupiter in Libra (generosity in relating) squaring the Moon and Sun, and Venus (love and relationship)/Saturn (restriction)/Mercury (thinking and communication)/Sun (energy and motivation) in all-loving Cancer, the biggest hurdle will be to create a container for forgiveness that is not overly sensitive.

Use this Full Moon as a test of how selfless and openhearted you can be. These planets could make us all ultra-sensitive, teary-eyed and touchy. So do some self-care. Make sure to be in the company of people you feel good about and trust. Sentimentality will be at an all-time high on this day.

This is also the night to celebrate all the teachers in your life, even those difficult Saturnian ones. Why this Full Moon to celebrate the teacher? The planet Saturn, the cosmic teacher, rules Capricorn. Lessons and learning come in many ways, sometimes with great pain and effort, but always with the end result of freeing us from old and often useless patterns of behavior.

Teachers show up in many forms in our lives; lovers, spouses, parents, children, friends, co-workers, bosses, work. Recognize them all tonight and thank them, even when the lessons they teach are painful.

Saturn is the planet that forces us to come to terms with fear. I don't know about you, but I am so tired of fear mongering and war mongering. The old ways (Capricorn) steeped in solutions that arise from fear and war will not work. They are what got us here and will never lead to freedom from fear.

The Full Moon in Capricorn is the one night of the year when we can truly see our fear for what it is: a distinct inability to transcend the human-made irrational divisions of race, religion, nationality, and gender. There is no separateness, only love. All matter is made of love and therefore can only be love at its most basic, as well its highest expression. We need to create societal and governmental structures that solve these problems from a core belief in love and connectedness.

This will of course require a complete shift in human consciousness. We must move away from identification with the small egoic, self, mired in the ignorance of separateness, to the full experience of the unbounded, transcendent divine Self, realizing love as the true nature of all existent life. When we change the Self, we change everything.

Do you think this goal is unrealistic? Not on this Full Moon. This is the Full Moon of hard work and accepting one's personal responsibility to heal the suffering of others. Did you know that most of the great spiritual teachers were born under the Sun sign of Capricorn? Why? To change human consciousness requires a Herculean commitment to achievement no matter how hard or how long the road. This is Capricorn at its best.

This is the night to reach deep into your well of strength and decide that achieving your own inner peace is the only goal worth attaining at this moment in our human evolution. This Full Moon simultaneously uncovers our fear and reflects the solution to our fear: acting only from love, compassion, and doing the hard work of relieving the suffering of all sentient beings by achieving enlightenment and inner peace.

I call on Americans to rise up now and reject this new way of life; mired in fear, rejection, and loss of freedom. We will soon lose our Republic to the growing police state of the Homeland Security, Justice and Defense Departments. Can you not see the winds of change blowing away your freedoms and any available funds for our nation's Cancerian needs: education, health care, and social services.

The time is now to take responsibility for the societal breakdown that is occurring all around us. I call upon all parents everywhere to reject the beliefs of hatred and fear and teach your children to love everyone, no matter who they may be. It is the only hope for our survival.

This is a very powerful and serious Full Moon-don't waste it!

Hello all, i'm new here (hi wendy)

i hope this is ok just wanted to share some Cap moon interpretations

Moon in Capricorn

Regardless of whether you're a male or female, the very first love of your life was your mother (or if mom was absent, then another mother figure in your environment). The Moon symbolizes the unconscious, instincts, and what you need to feel nurtured in your life.

With the Moon in Capricorn, you generally feel more emotionally secure when your day to day life is structured and/or when you are working hard. You may not feel valuable to others unless you're pulling more than your own weight? Because of all this, you may experience great difficulty in your ability to relax and "let go."

You may also at times be emotionally distant or cold. All of this is primarily because, as a very young child, you may have experienced your mother as having been strict, authoritarian, and demanding perfect behavior. She may have also been emotionally cold and distant. Your mother's love may have been limited in some way, and she may have prone to depression.

Or perhaps Mom was afraid that coddling you too much would spoil you? Was her favorite saying: "God helps those who help themselves." Or was it: "You've got to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps!" The Moon is the "place" where we go for comfort when scared.... and, as adults, we tend to unconsciously nurture ourselves in much the same way we subjectively experienced our mothers nurturing and caring for us when we were very young children.

So, when under stress, you keep yourself emotionally safe and secure by drawing strict emotional boundaries and limitations between yourself and others. When feeling threatened by an unexpected crisis, you feel safer when taking over duty and responsibility and by quickly getting in control (and on top) of the situation.

With the Moon in the earthy sign of Capricorn? Physical closeness, touch, and affection are often the best ways your "significant other" can express (and reassure) you of their love. (i.e. A hug a day keeps the doctor away.) Likewise, your lover withholding simple everyday physical expressions of love and affection is an ironclad, guaranteed way to make you feel all alone and unloved. There will be other times (of your choosing) when your partner needs to allow you to emotionally and physically withdraw.

Looking for a hobby guaranteed to relax you? Build stuff. Build a tree house, build a model airplane, build a garden. Volunteering to teach someone a new practical skill (that will enable them to get ahead in life) might be just the ticket. Or if you're of the more adventurous outdoorsy type? Climbing mountains and/or going on long nature hikes might serve to lower your blood pressure.
