Serious and responsible, you try to carry the world on your shoulders and rarely let others know that you need help and support. You deny or ignore your own emotional needs and feel that others will not accept you if you appear "weak". You are especially uncomfortable with emotional dependency, and will tell yourself and others (even children) not to be a "baby". :D
You need to accept that no one is self-sufficient all the time, and to be gentler with your "childish" emotional needs and wants. To others, you may appear to be rather hard-nosed and tough, with a businesslike attitude toward their personal concerns and feelings. Actually, no one is a truer friend. Your feelings and loyalties run deep, but you often do not let people know how much you care. You also need to learn to relax, enjoy yourself, and play sometimes.

Did you say patience? Did you say persistence? Did you say done? These three questions come to mind when you hear your friends’ friend has a Capricorn Moon. Part of the Cardinal Cross, Capricorn is the sure-footed one who gets goals done.
It is not the Capricorn Moons’ way to be cuddly, Hughie, or the like. Capricorn Moons are more reserved, refined and controlled. It will take a great deal of probing, nagging and manipulating to get your Capricorn Moon to “lose it:” Well really, it’s just not done. If you do manage to annoy them, the most you can expect to happen is a lecture on your inappropriate behavior. The security of the Capricorn Moon person, is knowing everything that can be done, has been done. -

The Moon in Capricorn is a bit like the Big Bad Wolf inviting one of the three pigs around for tea. There is a very strong sense of being uncomfortable and ill at ease with the situation on the part of one of the above!
It cannot be ignored that so many of the world's highest achievers have the Moon in Capricorn. Even the meekest, shyest individual can often turn on some severe leadership charm when they choose to. But Capricorn represents in many ways the very opposite to what the Moon is all about.
Capricorn represents selfishness, lack of sympathy, determination, self-preoccupation - the complete opposite to what the Moon represents! Therefore, my analogy above involving wolves and pigs relates to the Moon being very uncomfortable or dissatisfied with the company it is keeping.
Enough about wolves and pigs. People with Capricorn Moon signs have the undoubted ability to summon motivation and determination like nobody else can. Additionally, you probably have a similar ability to release a temper that doesn't just flare, it erupts into a raging supernova. Luckily, you are blessed with the ability to use both sparingly. You give the incorrect impression to others that very little bothers you and are very happy for someone else to take control of situations but only in the quiet understanding that they are (really) second in command.
People with Capricorn Moon signs are very aware of where they are going in life. They are aware of their destinies. This does not need to be told to them. The air of determination and self-assurance you give is inspiring to others which is why so many people born with Capricorn Moons end up overseeing positions of authority and responsibility. You however are very conscious of your faults and often do not share others' opinions about yourself.
This, in turn, causes a vicious circle as you are constantly assessing yourself, your perceived weaknesses, and trying to compensate for them. However, like fine wines, people with Capricorn Moons get better with age and as they get older and tend to find life becomes increasingly less stressful and competitive!

Yep. That's me. On the other hand, I find I'm great at teaching Virgo's anxiety management techniques because of it! -

i see this as emotional maturity. i see myself as very emotional, i feel quite deeply, however i do not get myself involved within emotional drama. i give space for my processing, then its done. i don't relate well to drama queens. i find it more amusing than anything else, then compassion kicks in, not regarding the drama, but regarding the individual who is in a evolutional process before my very eyes. anyone else feel emotional wise? -

Yes, I am not uncomfortable with emotions, just with expressing them spontaneously or dramatically. Maybe because my sun is in Cancer, but I am very emotionally sensitive. I just feel all the pain of others in the world so strongly that I couldn't even function if I didn't distance myself from my emotions. They are there, but kept on a leash to be expressed in small doses when the time is right.
My Cap moon is in the 9th house, by the way, 3 degrees from my midheaven!
Interesting about all the 3rd house moons. Do you guys communicate emotionally, or is communication blocked due to being clouded with emotions? -

i always have a need to get to the bottom-line, you know, just the bullet points please
there’s a need to be heard (or at least listen too), I’m a very good listener although with my Grand Cross I don’t have much patience, and not to big on small talk either until i get to know you better
This is from Linda Goodman’s book Sun Signs description of Capricorn male
mizian.com.ne.kr/englishwi...Toc6672041
this first part reminded me of Capricorn moon in 3rd house
"Don't keep him waiting, child! Why, his time is worth a thousand pounds a minute! And don't twiddle your fingers all the time ... Better say nothing at all. Language is worth a thousand pounds a word!"
-Alice in wonderland
He has a self-made brick wall around him. He's shy, but he's strong and tough. He's pleasant, but he's fiercely ambitious. Like the legendary, silent, earthy cowboy, the Capricorn man seems to prefer to be alone. He doesn't. Not really.

I've got Capricorn moon and Cancer sun. Now that's an interesting combo. Opposites and opposites. Really to me, though, it seems like it balances everything out real evenly.

Re: Moon in Capricorn
Sun, July 30, 2006 - 6:06 PMMost of this rings true to me as well! When I was younger, I ususally repressed my emtions and tried to keep a detached outlook on life, tending to rationalize things. Now I am more open with my emotions. I don't tear easily at movies and such like some of my friends. But when I do cry people know it must be serious! Now I am trying to be more in touch with my emotions. I have my Sun Sign in Sagittarius so I can be a bit spontaneous and lighthearted with my emotions. -

Re: Moon in Capricorn
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 12:54 AMWhile most of what God Star *- said applies to me for the most part, the following statements do not:
"It is not the Capricorn Moons’ way to be cuddly, Hughie, or the like. Capricorn Moons are more reserved, refined and controlled."
"Capricorn represents selfishness, lack of sympathy..."
"People with Capricorn Moon signs are very aware of where they are going in life. They are aware of their destinies."
I'm very comfortable sharing my emotions openly as well as holding space for others to do the same.
That being said, I have low tolerance for mindless drama and stubborn stupidity.
Since I keep seeing the question posed as to what is in which house, here are my chart details.
This came from an online chart my friend created for me but I'm still fairly ignorant about Astrology.
I'm very interested though in all of this though :)
...Looking at my chart, it looks like the houses are not perfectly lined up with each sign.
It looks like each house intersects 2 signs each -does that mean anything?
The planets appear in only one house each.
Btw, does a sign still influence a house when there's no planet present there?
Ascendant - Cancer
Sun - 2 - Aquarius - House 7
Moon - 27 - Capricorn - House 7
Mercury - 11 - Aquarius - House 7
Venus - 4 - Aquarius - It looks like Venus is right on the line between Houses 7 & 8
Mars - 11 - Taurus - House 11
Jupiter - 19 - Aquarius - House 8
Saturn - 28 - Gemini (right on the edge of Cancer, btw) - House 12
Uranus - 27 - Libra - House 4
Neptune - 9 - Sagittarius - House 5
Pluto - 6 - Libra - House 4
Chiron - 16 - Aries - House 10
North Node - 26 - Sagittarius - House 6
I hope this creates a clear picture of my chart :) -

Fri, December 5, 2008 - 8:36 AM"Capricorn represents selfishness, lack of sympathy..."
i know that one i have a tendency to just laugh at peoples misfortune but then again thats because i don't get sympathy for my misfortunes (and don't want it) because people think i can handle it so its kind of a vicious circle really.
it has to be something major to pull out my sympathetic side.

Re: Moon in Capricorn
Sat, September 15, 2007 - 8:43 AMScorp sun/Cap moon in 9th house
I think just about every word rings true for me. I'm not the cuddly type for the most part. But I do love to touch. Yes, feeling, emotions and loyalties run very deep and I'm not about spontaneous dramatic expressions. Seems infantile sometimes the way some people's emotions are so uncontrolled. Not out of control, mind you. That's not what I mean. Perhaps saying that they're emotions are so near the surface and easily tapped where as mine seem harder to get to; drill down a bit deeper. And, all in all, I'm aware of the need to bring those emotions closer to the surface; the need to express them more freely. Tough thing to do, but I'm learning; a work in progress if you will.
Thanks for all the info, God Star.

Sat, January 19, 2008 - 2:20 PMYou came back from it! Thats greate! :) How dod beating cancer change your perspective on the big issues of life. It's a loaded question. Re: Moon in Capricorn
Mon, January 21, 2008 - 10:36 PMToo true. I think that's why people have miserable lives, is when they do not have thanks for the things that they have. When you are thankful for what you have, whatever extra that comes along becomes that extra special :-) you find reason to wake up happy everyday, there's always something to look forward to. -
