i think so.
my intuition is strong enough that i am usually able to detect things about people/situations/etc way before my other friends figure it out with their more surface cues.
i think it's the cap moon that assists!

i have a capricorn moon and feel that i am unemotional but intuitive. i feel that because i am dettached from emotions, my intuiton speaks clearer to me.. otherwise emotions can distort the intuition. i also have sun in pisces and mercury and mars in aquarius which tend to have strong intuition anyways.

I can't say in what proportions they contribute, but I find my Scorp Sun/Cap Moon/Scorp Ascendant combination to be strongly intuitive. The conventional wisdom would probably credit most of that to Scorp, but as someone said, some detachment (Cap) can help keep those intuitive messages sharp and clear.

Everyone else calls it paranoia, of course, until the shit happens ;)

I won't deduce just from the moon's position, depends on the house it occupies as well. Usually placement of other planets, etc (ascendant, sun, etc) in water signs (if unafflicted of course) and in houses 12, and 8. But that's just from my experience.

I personal define intuitive as knowing things which cannot be known.

I looked up the dictionary definition:

1. a. The act or faculty of knowing or sensing without the use of rational processes; immediate cognition.
b. Knowledge gained by the use of this faculty; a perceptive insight.
2. A sense of something not evident or deducible; an impression.

To me that means intuitive is synonymous with psychic and empathic, but the dictionary links it instead to instinctual, perceptive, and visceral.

I usually associate the 8th and 12th houses with intuition/access to the "unknown" or unconscious/deeper knowledge, as well as Pisces and Scorpio. Aquarius falls in there for me too, because of their far-sightedness, which seems to be about tapping into some deeper collective knowledge than their own personal scope of knowledge. I think everyone is intuitive, but it's people with the above house placements and planets specifically who are most open to their intuition, accepting it and making use of it.

My moon is in the 8th house. I give my Cap moon credit for making me a good judge of character and for being able to size people up quickly and usually accurately.
